BlackbirdTimer

Session timing

The clock every speaker respects.

Sessions run long for one reason: the speaker can’t see — or can’t ignore — the time. Blackbird Timer is a countdown built for real stages: huge, unmistakable, and controlled by your room crew, so every session ends on time and the day stays on schedule.

Clickthrough: the last five minutes of a session — green, amber, red, done

How it works

Nothing to learn, nothing to miss

Readable from the back row

One number, filling the screen. On a confidence monitor, a laptop at the podium, or a spare display on a stand — if the speaker can see the stage, they can see the time.

Warnings that need no explanation

Green means talk. Amber means land the plane. Red means the next speaker is walking up. Nobody has to wave a card or cut a mic.

Crew stays in control

Start, pause, add five minutes for the keynote that ran over lunch — the operator adjusts in seconds without the audience ever noticing.

No network required

The timer runs entirely on the machine at the room. Venue Wi-Fi can do whatever it wants; the clock keeps counting.

Runs on what you already carry

No special hardware. It runs on an ordinary laptop or mini computer feeding any screen you point it at.

Made for session rooms

Built by crew who run breakout rooms for a living — for the 30-second lightning round and the 90-minute workshop alike.

Who it's for

Anyone who owns the schedule

Session managers who answer for the agenda, production companies delivering room kits, and speaker-ready teams who want every room behaving the same way. It pairs naturally with our room signage — the sign outside says what’s next; the timer inside makes sure it starts on time.

Blackbird Timer is in early access and already running at live events. Tell us about your rooms and we’ll show it to you.
